This is a heavily illustrated postwar German booklet for visitors to the memorial to victims of the Nazi regime at Plötzensee prison in northwest Berlin. The infamous Plötzensee prison is still remembered as the final stop of some of the men involved in the 1944 plot to kill Hitler, and the prison is still in business today.

The 5-¾ x 8-¼ inch, 32 page booklet has text in the German language about the prison and what happened there during the Third Reich. There are pictures of some of the brick buildings, the guillotine, reproductions of death sentence announcements and prisoner executions forms as well as pictures of men and women who were executed at Plötzensee, including Carl Friedrich Goerdeler, Helmuth Graf von Moltke, Cesar von Hofacker, Erwin von Witzleben and Ulrich von Hassell. There are also several headlines from the Nazi Party newspaper der Völkischer Beobachter.

This booklet was originally produced in 1972 for visitors to the Gedenkstätte deutscher Widerstand in Berlin, and this is a 25th edition dated 1988, printed in Germany. In very nice, little used condition. No writing, no odor.
