This is a Third Reich travel souvenir saved by a member of the National Socialist Community Kraft durch Freude or "Strength through Joy" (a unit of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) or German Labor Front) who took a KdF cruise on the Norddeutsche Lloyd twin screw steamship Sierra Cordoba in 1935.

This one-sided 6 x 8-5/8 inch sheet lists the names of the crew as well as the name of the liaison officer between Norddeutsche Lloyd and KdF Travel. Note the admonition at the bottom, “smoking in ports is verboten by order of the police.”

Folded twice, 100% original, condition exactly as shown.

Das ists, unser Deutschland von heute! (That is Our Germany of Today!) is a patriotic Nazi poem by German author and teacher Paul Georg Münch of Leipzig. Münch was a staunch National Socialist and friend of DAF Reichsleiter Dr. Robert Ley who wrote for many Nazi labor publications, even the text for a DAF calendar. After World War II, many of his publications were placed on the verboten list in the Soviet Occupied Zone of Germany, until 1953.

This poem was printed on a piece of 6 x 9-¾ inch cream colored paper and has patriotic text that covers the bond created by travel on land and sea, the power that comes from travel experiences with other travelers, and that this power (Kraft) creates happiness (Freude).
